Trump Family Launches Smartphone at $499 and Network Deal

The Trump Organisation has introduced Trump Mobile, a new wireless service and smartphone brand. Not to forget that Trump has been offering watches, sneakers, and Bibles. The company, which his sons are running, says the phone will be gold-colored, made in the United States, and priced at 499 dollars (Rs 43, 050). It will be priced at £47.45 per month, referencing Trump as the 45th and 47th presidents.

BBC reports that ethics experts have criticised it, terming it another possible conflict of interest. Those opposing it believe that promoting business through the presidency might breed corruption. In the meantime, the supply chain experts working with the BBC have stated that developing a smartphone that includes only American-made components would be practically impossible, and the statement about the smartphone being manufactured in the US would be doubtful.

The following are the simple details of the Trump T1 phone:

  • Under the T1 Mobile services, there will be 47 Plan, showing that Trump is the 47th US president.
  • Trump Mobile will be a virtual operator, implying that it will be able to sell services via networks owned by the American telecommunication giants Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
  • 5G service prices will be lower than those of established US telecom giants but higher than those offered by smaller companies like Boost Mobile or Cricket. The monthly rate should be $47.45.

Trump claims he has placed his business interests in a trust managed by his children. The White House insists he is acting in the interests of all Americans.
